Photography has always been my passion; it just took me a long time to discover just how much it was! As a commerce student, fulfilling my family's dream, I would always take my small Kodak camera with me as I hitchhiked back and forth to college. The walking times between rides gave me interesting vistas crossing bridges and experiencing the ever changing weather along with the changing seasons of south-west Canada. Skipping ahead thirty years, I finally enrolled in a persuasion more suited to my nature at British Columbia’s Kwantlen College, http://www.kwantlen.bc.ca/, taking their two-year journalism program, which had a large photojournalism component. Finally, I had found my element and spent most of the next two years in the photo lab. Later I enrolled at Vancouver’s Focal Point Visual Arts Learning Center, http://www.focalpoint.bc.ca/, to take courses in studio lighting and web site development to round out my photography skills. Now, I enjoy travel photography and have spent many months touring and living in Mexico and Guatemala; but now South Korea and China's many charms found in Tibet, Xinjian, and Shaanxi's Xi'an beckon me there to see their many incredible sights and experiences.
